📌 How to Submit a [ZIP] Proposal

This category is for final Zyfi governance proposals — called ZIPs (Zyfi Improvement Proposals).

Before submitting a ZIP:
:white_check_mark: Your proposal must have passed a [FIRST_CHECK] Snapshot vote
:white_check_mark: It must have reached quorum (1.5M of staked ZFI) and received majority “Yes” votes
:white_check_mark: The content must be detailed and ready for implementation

Please copy and complete this structure when posting a new ZIP:

Summary:
A clear, one-paragraph overview of the proposal

Motivation:
What problem does this solve or what opportunity does it unlock?

Specifications:
Explain exactly what should happen — including logic, settings, roles, and structure

Costs:
Estimate any costs (treasury usage, dev time, gas fees, etc.)

Implementation Plan:
Steps to deliver this, who will do it, timeline, risks

FIRST_CHECK Link:
Paste a link to the original idea or [FIRST_CHECK] this ZIP is based on

:ballot_box_with_ballot: Voting Process

  • Once submitted, the ZIP will move to Snapshot
  • Voting begins 2 days after the proposal is posted on Snapshot.
  • The vote lasts 5 days
  • To pass, the vote must meet:
    • Quorum: Around 50% of all staked ZFI (stZFI) must vote (subject to change)
    • Approval: “Yes” votes must outnumber “No” votes

If approved, the proposal will be implemented by Zyfi core contributors under oversight from the Protectors. A post-vote report will be published in the forum.
